1975 Marianne signed with Jeff Wayne for recording and publishing and recorded three songs with him. Jeff Wayne had a hit in 1978 with 'War of the Worlds'. He produced David Essex who had 14 hit singles including the number 1
'Gonna Make You a Star'. Meanwhile the duo 'Vigrass and Obourne' recorded Marianne's song 'Sit Yourself Down'. Radio interview in Singapore.1977 Jonathan Rowlands of New Acme Music signed some of Marianne's songs for Publishing and recorded three songs with her. 1978 Sometimes the British public allow 'the extrovert' they even let them slip into the pop music charts so riding high at this time was 'Captain Beaky' performed by Keith
Michell. If you are not in the music business you may not know that with every contract is a clause which says 'Marketing Rights' this is to ensure that the most is made of any success--pencils, tee-shirts and sometimes a book, 'The Captain Beaky Children's Annual' 1978 contained two stories written by Marianne. In complete contrast RAK records approached Marianne for some new songs for Susie
Quantro. Elton John's Rocket Records showed interest and recorded some tracks with Marianne they also thought that Kiki Dee would be interested in some of her songs. Kiki Dee--had 5 hit singles for Rocket Records and along with Elton John went to number 1 in the hot summer of 1976 'Don't Go Breaking My Heart'. Marianne did some session singing on other artists albums and recorded many television and radio jingles, making your corn flakes even crispier.
Marianne made many demos of her new material some with Julian's help. Then a new project, instigated by Root Cartwright came about. Over a period of time various musicians, all respected came and went including people from Mike Batts
'Wombles and James Litherland. The band 'Principle Edwards Magical Theatre' failed to attract recognition and disbanded.

1980 Marianne wrote and recorded with producer Eugene Moule and then signed with Double Dee Records. There was a single release which got a lot of plays in northern dance clubs it was called 'Love Amnesia'. Marianne recorded this with (Dave Dee--of Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mitch & Titch) The D. Dee 4 under the name Marianne Chase.

1984 Marianne with Root Cartwright and Josh White bass guitarist Tried to put a new band on the road but failed to find management and then all their equipment was stolen, the band broke up.
1986 Marianne composed two film scores and a cinema jingle for a British company.

1987 There began a long association with Julie Felix. Julie Felix had 2 hit singles in 1970 'If I could (El Condor
Pasa)' and 'Heaven is Here'. Often appeared on 'Braden's Week' television show and was very successful with the Children's song 'Going to the Zoo' by Tom Paxton, 1969. Marianne and Julie collaborated in writing number of 'powerful' songs. They also put in a number of joint appearances around Britain and throughout Europe. Faithfull! The audience went wild. The papers called Julie at home to check if Marianne Faithfull was doing a duo with her !
1988 Marianne Released an Album and a Video 'So So Scorpio'
(you can see the video on the first page of this web site) and Co-produced Julie Felix's album 'Bright Shadows'.
1989 Marianne sang in her first musical 'Vincent' the life of Vincent Van Gogh.
1989 1990 British concert tour with Julie Felix.
