Quite why Marian Segal's moment of reappraisal has yet to arrive is a mystery. Fly On Strangewings eschews the excesses of many of it's peers, as well it might given Segal's exquisite song writing. The childhood reminiscences of Alan's Song recall a female Cat Stevens, while the stunning title track occupies a blissful mid-point between Mellow Candle histrionics and Sandy Denny vulnerability.
